Here is my Lamb collection. I do not know why I started collecting them... I do remember
it was in the midst of my McCoy and USA, WHITE pottery collection time. I am always side
tracked by white. And pink. Soft greens and aqua and yellow can get me also.
I started with this one~
And as you can see form the first photo, I found another. One for Caitlin and one for Doug.
A theme, an idea was hatched. I would give them each a lamb later in their life...
As you can see it became a party. An intimate one, but still a happy gathering.
And that is what today IS. A very happy and special day of gathering one and all on this National Day of Prayer. There are many events planed for today around the country. You can find them here.
It was in 1775 that the Continental Congress called for prayer while they sought to create a new nation, this land of Freedoms that we so enjoy the fruits of.
Lincoln called for a Day of Prayer in 1863. It would be in 1952, when President Truman officially signed it into law, through an act of Congress. Then, in 1988, President Reagan made an amendment to proclaim the first Thursday in May the National Day of Prayer. Today is the 58th formal Day of Prayer. I only learned of this special day about ~ six years ago. My very dear friend Brenda filled me in and I loved it. Our country is so great and We are blessed with freedom. Freedom to pray :)
Hugs,
Mary

Hi Mary,
I love all your sweet lambs and your very pretty China. Those colours are so soft and delicate.
Happy Mother's day.
