Yard Art

Avant

This is ONE of a number chairs that my hubby found for me. Not my usual style. He found them many moons ago and now I have decided to paint them any color that I wish! This is not my norm. but given that I do not have a lot invested in this project, dollar wise nor emotionally, I decided to plunge ahead. There was nothing to loose, and a potential for a big gain! I did plan on painting just one white. It would have looked stunning I believe... very architectural. I did get carried away with the color selection. I added a green at the last minute and there, it was done.

Pink, Blue, Green.
Art Installation?

I just had to paint one chair the same blue that I used here.
Pink is a favorite color and is playful. Then the green, well I was looking for just the right green, this is close. Green is sort of a neutral.
If you click on the photo you can see the chairs better. I still need to get a seat in them. I was leaning towards a wood base wraped in fabric. But another idea is to use lucite, or plexi-glass. In a color would be nice. What do you think?

Hugs,
Mary

Gorgeous! Where are you going to put the chairs when they're done? I like the fabric-covered wood idea the best.

The chairs will be in the kitchen probably.
The lucite seat would give them a modern edge, the fabric seat, a cush for the tush.
Thank you Kathleen and Shanae!

Oh Mary, I love this! You are spot on regardless of your investment! These are just what I want for my dinning room, all mismatched different colored chairs, loving it! I'd go with fabric covered seats.
