Three Trips and Three Finds

Over the last 4 months Caitlin and I have made it to several thrift stores and vintage stores to see what we could find. Caitlin has a tremendously good eye and always comes home with a find. We both love mid-century modern. The clean lines attract me. However we both have a definite feminine side that helps in softening a room AND adds personality. Mine is in line with Shabby Chic. Caitlin is forging her own beautiful style.
Here are my three great finds:

Three Trips + Three Finds

Find No.1

Find No. 1

This is a real piece of craftsmanship! Every detail is perfectly executed. Beautiful! I adore the little tassel that she made. I made Christmas card baskets for my neighbors this year (filled with treats) but have never owned one of these vintage beautes`.

Too Cute!

Find No.2

"Sew Sweet"

This is a vintage sewing basket, complete with a music box to synchronize your stitches to! It needs a touch of TLC but will be fine.

Find No.3

Beaute`

This is the first of the three that I found. I love the shade of pink and that it is in absolute perfect condition! This will go either in one of my dressing drawers or my studio. Speaking of the studio it is getting organized. I never had a chance to put things were they should really belong since completing the painting of it.

So that is a little look into my three best finds. As fun as it was finding these, I must say that I am extremely happy when I find something perfect for Caitlin or a friend. That "makes my day"! :)
Have you found something your are so very happy with?

I love all of your finds Mary! In fact I am drooling! My favorite find is similar to one of yours - it is a pink satin glove box that is currently in my creative space holding all of my vintage jewelry.

Those are all so great. I especially love the little baby one. So precious. I have a satin divider in a hot pink color that I found thrifting...so lovely!

OH MY GOSH....I am just SALIVATING over here! I adore every single one of your finds and I think I"m actually a little JEALOUS! Oh my...that satin organizer is divine. I always KNOW that I've found something that is really, really ME when I don't know WHAT ROOM to put it in!!! I can see why you'd have mixed feelings about dresser vs. studio on that one. Tell me if you find yourself willing to part with any of those, Sweets!!!! ;) Hugs to you...cheryl

Hi Mary,
Merci for the nice comments on my blog. Just so you, I made the boxes, and my friend is selling them at her shop.
I had a little pink sewing box like that one when I was little.
Maybe I will look for it.
What fun to find such great stuff.
It does make your day!

OH I adore that baby card box. Wish we had a pattern for it! And I have the cousin to your sewing box...rectangle, not square, but otherwise the same. Love it all!!

I just had to quickly leave a comment for you. I found your blog address in Somerset Life. I really enjoyed my visit and loved the beautiful pictures of your incredible flea-market finds! But what I loved most has to be the fabulous little Chandeliers you make! How wonderful they are! Thankyou for sharing and making my night more enjoyable :)!

All so lovely. They don't make 'em like that anymore. :)

You've got to be kidding. You found these precious lovelies thrifting? I am so jealous. It makes me want to run out and go shopping, shopping, shopping! I don't think I could choose which items I like more than the other. I would definitely have to keep them in "birds eye view" for awhile. They are too pretty to tuck away!

Great finds.

Super finds! I love them all. I wish I could find such amazing things like that...one of the few things that I found that got my heart beating fast was a pale pink plastic vintage tissue box. I was shocked something that fab was at a thrift store (we don't have great ones here - I live in the wrong part of the country)...anyway, it was on a bottom shelf & very, very dirty. I took it home & scrubbed & scrubbed it & wow-wee it had sparkling rhinestones on it. This is one of my fave finds 'cuz it was actually something I had longed to find...and, it wasn't cracked or broken like so many things are. :)

Hi Tammy,
Confucious say:
Better to have a few superb treasures that you LOVE than a stash of things that may end up in your way! hehehe
You have a an excellent eye! Your treasure sounds soooo beautiful! Enjoy :)

Mary
