Word for Today ~ Petite

There are a few things I have found that I like to collect; tables, lighting, deer and little lamb containers to name a few. For tables you need chairs, so I have a few of them, old and used. I pick up pretty wooden chairs
when I find them. This one~

Beautiful Blue

is not that "pretty", no carving. But paint it a pretty aqua blue and she is ready for anything. I did not take a before picture...too many things going on at one time...you know how it is!!! My studio...I do not know if he is done spackling! Yes, my hubby loves spackling. I think all men (perhaps women also) who fix things up love this gooey stuff. Well, I guess I am the exception. The Hubby does that before I can blink an eye. He knows I will protest because I want to get my project done. The results are always fantastic..PREPERATION! I will show the chair again in the studio...I did not capture the beautiful blue color very well on the above photo. I was going to paint it pink but I wanted to push myself out of my usual comfy place. Also, I am planing to paint a focal piece of furniture this blue..later on. So it was a good chance to test the color out.

Avant

This is a petite chandelier originally going in the powderroom. But I am going to try it in the petitie studio. I have many backup pieces, including a very cute ceiling huging model still waiting for me at the antique store. I am going to give this little baby a paint job, probably similar to the Grande Chandelier I did for the stairway and foyer. It has purple droplets. I am goint to try plastic drops done aqua with markers. I saw this idea in Mary Engelbret's Home Companion Magazine I believe. I will let you know how it goes. So that is what I am trying to sqweeze in while I keep getting pieces done for my ETSY Shop, Oh Merci. Have a beautiful Monday!

I can't wait to see your studio. I just love your use of the word petite. We just happened to have a petite addition to our family on Saturday. Miss Twinkle joined her big sister Miss Sparkle. I'm having a giveaway to celebrate two jewels in this grandmother's life. I hope you can drop by.

I love the blue of your chair. I can't wait to see how your studio turns out. I guess I missed the ME about the chandelier prisms. I am going to have to try using a marker on some that I have.
