***Tuesday Is the Day***

P6050016

Before I start out I would just like to ask you to all please come back here or to HERE tomorrow (TUESDAY) Because there will be some exciting news that I REALLY need your help with. : ) It is something fairly new and you are GREATLY NEEDED!!! : ) Thank you all so very, very much.

The photo above shows some finds that Caitlin and I uncovered at the thrift store. The cute and useful pyrex pie dish was only 55 cents!!! And I need it...for peanut butter/chocolate fudge and pies! The same for the other dish that is white with the aqua and grey stars, need a small dish like that. The soft peach bowls for French onion soup or... do you notice a trend? I do like to know what I will "do" with an item. I have gotten better...I have some things that I just love so much that are not needed and are purely decorative. But I have enough of that . WHAT, WAIT, WHAT DID I JUST SAY???!!! Back up...we always have room for a great, beautiful find that we do not know exactly where it should go or what it should be doing! Ok that is better. whew. Case in point, the pretty baby shoe flower vase. It has the most perfect shade of pink and blue and then my favorite, it has details in gold on the bow! It has the feeling of a piece by Hall but is not stamped as such. I forgot the price, but It was only a couple of dollars I believe. The green pot holder 60 cents and the embroidered pillow was $2.21. It came with 2 other cases that they grouped with it, both plain white cases.

The most important thing that I found was at BOTH of the thrift stores!!! A lovely young woman with two extremely well behaved beautiful daughters. Always polite and staying with there mom while she shopped for curtains. She found some for several rooms. Perhaps she just moved here or maybe she has a friend or relative that has just moved in to a home and needs curtains. They needed them, the curtains. The second was at the shop where we found the marble side table. The woman in line behind me was also buying a piece of furniture. I happily/excitedly asked her what piece she found. My meaning was "What treasure did you uncover to bring home and try to find a place for?" She answered very happily and proudly that she found not one but two dressers with plenty of drawer space! Her hair was a soft dark blonde, her skin a makeup free even color. Her teeth had not been given the luxury of dental care. Her breath was freshened with mouth wash. She was sweet kind very helpful and strong. She, like the mother shopping with her girls needed to be there. I left wishing I could know these two women better. I know how lucky I am in so many , many ways. I know the great trials I too face. I am reminded how each day is a blessing no matter where we are at.

What an important treasure you found at those stores. Coming away with that type of renewed thinking is something all of us should experience on a regular basis.

I love the other thing you came away with too, especially the white dish and the embroidered pillow case.

It's always amazing to me how women can make a connection despite differences. There are somethings that are just universal.

Mary by the way, forgot to tell you, with the crepe paper, to do it without sewing, I attach double sided tape to the place the crepe paper will end up then i gather it onto the tape! Simple! fiddly but once you get the hang of it, it's easy!!!
