Once in a journal, my one and ONLY journal, I wrote: "Create = Breathe". That pretty much sums it all up for me. I would venture a strong guess that all of you feel the same way! Since my days as a 4~5 year old cutting out "dolls" from my story books to sewing, crafting, painting...So many great projects, people and memories! Yes, ALL OF OUR talents go on and on as we keep challenging ourselves.
These various pins were made while my two children were quite young. Made during naps and evenings, like many of you now :)
I loved making the angle pins and the cake pins. And the heart pins were great fun also. I only have two hearts left. I had kept one with tulle on it, for telling my tulle wreaths! I also had hearts that had little ribbons gathered into beautiful little bows, placed in the crease of the heart. I even had to make the tiny "hat boxes" for the pins!
Earlier this summer I saw Tammy Gilley's Hearts which she was creating. They so reminded me of the hearts that I had made years earlier. I LOVED seeing her hearts! I felt like I had traveled back, but NO! :) They are made today! The hearts are why I am writing this post. You too can have a beautiful heart, this time to rest your head upon as you dream of all of your new ideas! Just hop on over to Tammy's Studio!
"Dream A little Dream"!
Hugs,
Mary

I just love your photo! It reminds me of my memories and treasure hunting at Grandma's. She use to make sachets too.
